The AFA national tournament is over, and I'm home now. Here are few pictures that I took recently, including a new one of me.

Weird teaching schedule this semester

Aside from usual debate practices, I'll be teaching a public speaking discussion section from 7:00pm to 8:20pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Haven't taught an evening class before, so this should be a bit different. It also clashes with debate times, so that will be a bit inconvenient, but in the end it should all work out.

I'm starting to actively look for a job now. I'd like to line something up LONG before I have to actually start a job, and let's just say that this isn't the easiest thing to do. I've been considering teaching overseas just for the fun of it, but that's still very much up in the air right now. I was thinking of starting paperwork for the State Department, but it's one of those long drawn out processes of paperwork that is designed to keep people from wanting to apply, so we'll see.

Finally home

That was an extremely long tournament, starting on Thursday and ending late Sunday. Let's just say that I'm completely exhausted, and it's nice to have a few days off until the next few.

Next weekend, we'll be doing the high school tournament at UOP, so I'll be overloaded with work for that.

The next weekend after that is the UC Berkeley tournament.

The next weekend after that is the tournament we'll be hosting at UOP.

I believe that I'll finally be free after that. So to speak.

Not much else to say. Kind of got onto an Offspring kick during the tournament, so I bought two of their stronger CDs today. I also now have an I-Phone to replace the multiple items I was carrying around (a cell phone, a PDA, an MP3 player, etc.). We'll see how this works out. I'm keeping my same phone number, which means I'll have to pay a discharge fee to Verizon, but I didn't like the choices they were giving me for an upgrade phone, and I was really disliking the phone I had from them. Again, we'll see how this works out.

Gone for a week in Atlanta

I'll be attending to the National Forensics Association tournament in Atlanta, Georgia for the next week. Not looking forward to getting up at 5am tomorrow morning to fly out.
